Where I have produced 40 plays, directed 14 full lengths and curated and hosted many art shows and competitions as-well as venue and event managed the space and bar for multiple events, groups and outside festivals eg: Melbourne Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Fringe Festival, Poetry slams and Madwomen Monologues to name a few..
I have been flown to America to perform in a play I also produced. I have also been taken to the USA with 2 plays I directed to present there. I have been invited to attend the Barrow Group Directing program in NYC.
I created, produced, and curated 3 festivals, ORGASM, PLATFORM AND INTERARTIVE with the ongoing support of the Owl and Cat team including, Thomas Ian Doyle, Catherine Holder, Carolyn Dawes, Matthew Brown, Jayden Popik and FIona Scarlett and Victoria Haslam. I had a brief but enjoyable moment as artistic director for a season of kids theatre with Fresh Youth Theatre, who do incredible work with teens and kids.
I have also been lucky enough to perform and co produce a one woman show at the Sydney Theatre Company titles What is the Matter with Mary Jane written by Wendy Harmer with Sancia Robinson. I studied Acting with the Melbourne Actors Lab (Peter Kalos) and Howard Fine (Laura Gardner). I taught acting at Studio Welder and I have run a casting workshop at TCA.
I have held 2 solo art exhibitions and been a participant in 4 group ones, spaces include, NOIR Gallery, Chapel off Chapel, The Space, and Right Angle Studios. My abstract paintings can be found in the Kingsley Hotel in Brisbane and across Melbourne in various homes and businesses. I studied fine art at Deakin University as a part of the Bachelor of Creative Arts. the other half of the double degree was a major in theatre.
I have been working in casting at Highway and Chameleons on campaigns for brands such as.. QANTAS, KMART, FORD, NISSAN, Family Violence VIC campaign ‘Call it Out’ the AFL, Sustainability VICTORIA etc.
Recently I have been dabbling in shooting with a black magic ursa, mainly to learn how to effectively communicate on set when directing. But its become a bit of fun too meaning I am making indie films and able to shoot self tests for those who need a casting / directors help for their auditions.
